Architectural Design
The project requirements included the need for several vocal and instrumental recording booths. Given the project's location in Calcutta, with a view of the Hoogly river, our aim was to establish a visual connection within an initially isolated space.
Catt Acoustic was engaged to analyze the spatial and acoustic characteristics, and appropriate acoustic treatments were recommended. By eliminating the corners, we were able to create a visually connected spatial quality as intended.
The recording studio adheres to the Dolby Atmos 7.1 setup standard, which necessitated careful planning of the studio space to meet the required specifications. Additionally, acoustic treatments were implemented in accordance with the applicable standards which culminated into a spectacular recording experience.
