Acoustic Design
The project involves a concept for a live cinematic recording to be showcased as a pavilion during Dubai Expo 2020. The centerpiece of the pavilion is a central mixing and mastering space that offers a view of the live orchestral performance involving 50 artists.
Additionally, the exhibit includes private recording rooms for guided mixing and training purposes. My responsibilities as an associate architect included creating a conceptual layout and developing the 3D model and graphics to present to the client.
The recording studio adheres to the Dolby Atmos 7.1 setup standard, which necessitated careful planning of the studio space to meet the required specifications. Additionally, acoustic treatments were implemented in accordance with the applicable standards which culminated into a spectacular recording experience.
